17 Days of the Sharpen Design Challenge: A Pizza Meltdown

I've got to be honest...

’ll admit, yesterday’s challenge was more difficult than I anticipated. It took up a significant amount of time, and I even restarted halfway through because I wasn’t satisfied with the initial direction. Although it stretched into the next morning, I still managed to complete it within the 24-hour timeframe.

Todays Challenge

"Design branded stickers for a pizza shop and start with a mood board."

This challenge feels much more manageable compared to yesterday’s. While I would have loved to stick with Brooklyn—home of the iconic pizza slice—I decided to bring the project closer to my California roots. I chose to work with a local favorite from Southern California.

Mockups and Assets

For today's challenge, I locked in on California Pizza Kitchen (CPK). As a casual dining restaurant chain, the company is known for its innovative and creative pizzas, blending a variety of international flavors with a California twist. Since they had limited sticker branding, I decided to create my own, staying true to their color palette and typography. I highlighted elements that celebrate the California lifestyle, incorporating themes like sunsets, mountains, palm trees, and the car culture that resonates with locals.
