17 Days of the Sharpen Design Challenge: Things Got Messy

Let's Be Real

Completing this many projects with high quality is proving to be physically demanding. As I reach Day 9 of this challenge, I have to admit that it feels like a slow slog. I’m falling behind on my other commitments, so today’s effort will be minimal.

Todays Challenge

"Design a promotional sticker for a gym in the UK."

I plan to spend no more than an hour and a half on this task. I’m not in the mood to rebrand an entire gym from scratch, so I’m opting to work with an existing brand instead.

Mockups and Assets

For this challenge, I chose PureGym, the most popular gym in the UK, boasting around 213K followers on Instagram with a strong branding presence. I decided to take their established identity in a new direction by applying a monochromatic palette and transforming their existing typography into a bold, eye-catching format that conveys an assertive "I powerlift, bro" vibe. While this design won't make it to my portfolio today, feel free to check out a sneak peek of some mockups I created during the early hours.
